The procedures are based on the A.L.I.C.E protocol, which comes recommended last year by the Governor of Massachusetts and is outlined by the attached The Massachusetts Task Force Report on School Safety and Security Report. The Governor's recommendations specifically include ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate) as appropriate training for school safety. Last year we trained John Glenn Middle School teachers and staff on these updated procedures and this year we will be sharing information with students during an assembly on October 28th. Our School Resources Officer (SRO) will attend the school safety assembly.
